Frederick J. Winter (1877-1956) was an architect in Detroit during a time of rapid residential development, innovation, and rising architectural sophistication.

His work is a model of the solid craftsmanship and high-level stylistic detail that defined Detroit’s golden age and attracted the city’s most prominent upper-middle-class residents.

In the Arden Park–East Boston Historic District, Winter designed the Byron F. Everitt House at 90 Arden Park Blvd, one of the district’s most architecturally rich properties and a major landmark supporting the historic boulevard’s enduring prestige.
