Eliza Howell is a District 1 Detroit neighborhood located on Detroit’s northwest side central to the Rouge River, Telegraph Road, and Fenkell Avenue.
A prime hub of the 48223 ZIP code, the area saw most of its development between the 1920s and 1950s when Detroit began expanding into west side suburbs as a way to better accommodate the region’s factory workers and their families.
