The legacy of jazz legend Elle Fitzgerald is honored in Fitzgerald at a park on Prairie Street, a small part of a much larger urban renewal movement in the neighborhood. Just 10 miles from downtown Detroit, Fitzgerald is characterized by its generational neighbors who advocate for the longevity of their community through the creation of neighborhood gardens.
