Advertising guide
Advertising on Rebuild Detroit
A useful advertising proposal identifies the advertiser, audience, message, placement, destination, schedule, and measurement before a purchase is made. Availability and pricing must come from the current Rebuild Detroit product or written proposal, and paid placement must remain distinguishable from editorial content.

01
Define the advertiser and campaign objective
Provide the legal business, public brand, responsible contact, website, service area, and the action the audience should take. Choose one primary objective such as profile discovery, an approved offer, event awareness, lead generation, hiring, or neighborhood visibility. A campaign cannot be evaluated responsibly when the audience and conversion are undefined.
All public claims must be accurate and supportable. Licensing, pricing, availability, savings, rankings, reviews, guarantees, deadlines, and results require current evidence and clear qualifications. Rebuild Detroit may reject or require correction of creative that conflicts with law, platform policy, user safety, or the verified business record.
02
Match creative to the placement
Supply appropriately licensed text, logo, images, destination URL, and any required disclosures for the proposed format. Confirm who owns or is authorized to use each asset. A creative approval for one placement or term does not automatically authorize another size, page, channel, audience, or future campaign.
Paid placement must be labeled so users can distinguish it from editorial selection. Advertising does not change verification standards, create a favorable editorial conclusion, or guarantee prominence outside the purchased placement. The destination should accurately continue the claim made in the advertisement and should not collect unnecessary sensitive information.
03
Use current inventory and commerce terms
Placement availability, duration, audience definition, creative limits, amount, billing interval, renewal, cancellation, and reporting must come from the active product workflow or a current written order. Rebuild Detroit does not hard-code product amounts into this guide because the connected Stripe catalog and approved checkout are the current commerce source.
Review the full order before payment and retain the confirmation. If a requested placement is not present in the live catalog, contact Rebuild Detroit rather than paying through an unrelated link. A conversation or draft mockup does not reserve inventory, and an old price or campaign does not establish current availability.
04
Measure without overstating results
Agree on the metrics the placement can actually report, such as served impressions, eligible clicks, or submitted leads when the product supports them. Transport, display, click, form submission, qualified opportunity, sale, and revenue are different events. No early event should be labeled as a later business outcome.
Advertisers remain responsible for their offers, destinations, follow-up, privacy practices, suppression obligations, and regulated communications. Rebuild Detroit does not guarantee traffic, leads, ranking, exclusivity, conversion, revenue, or return. Campaign corrections and removals should preserve an audit trail without exposing private user information.
