What the Verified badge tells a customer
These are the same checks described on How We Vet. Every Verified profile shows the date of its latest check.
- License. Where Michigan licenses your trade, we confirm the license and record its number, the name it is held under and its status on the day we check. Trades without a state license are shown that way.
- Business identity. We confirm the business is real and operating, the name matches the license or registration, and your contact details reach you.
- Insurance. We need a current general liability certificate, plus workers' compensation if you have employees.
- Service area. We confirm the cities and townships you actually serve, so you appear where you work.

What Verified is and is not
The $30/month covers the checks, rechecks and your dashboard. It does not guarantee the badge. If a business does not pass, it does not get the badge at any price, and standards are the same for every business.
- Not an endorsement. Verified is a dated record of a check, not a review of your work.
- Not placement. Verified does not include a featured spot. To be featured on trade, service or city pages, add a featured plan.
- Not a rating. Ratings come from public reviews and cannot be bought.
