Claim the canonical professional profile
Search the existing agent directory before creating a new record. Claim the profile that represents the same professional and correct inaccurate information through the account workflow. Name variations, old brokerage references, and multiple contact methods should not create competing public pages for one person.
Use the agent's current public business identity and an account controlled by the authorized professional or organization. A claimed profile establishes control of the Rebuild Detroit record; it does not establish an active license, brokerage authority, paid status, property availability, transaction history, or endorsement.

Verify the current licensing context
Use Michigan's official license source to match the professional name, license type, status, and other public details relevant to the record. Do not infer status from a profile badge, brokerage website, old business card, portal login, or transaction. Resolve mismatches before presenting the profile as verified.
Rebuild Detroit's verification policy records specified checks on a date and does not continuously monitor every change. Agents and consumers should confirm current public records before relying on a profile. Payment does not change the verification standard, and it does not convert a factual profile into a guarantee or recommendation.

Keep property data and marketing claims current
A property page should reflect its authorized source and current status. Active, pending, withdrawn, sold, off-market, rental, and historical information must not be blurred. Agents should use the designated listing or account workflow and should not promise that a public page updates faster than the underlying MLS, brokerage, or authorized data process.
Advertising claims about volume, rankings, neighborhoods, specialties, response, pricing, or results need support and appropriate qualifications. Images, descriptions, marks, and testimonials require permission. A profile or paid placement does not confer ownership of third-party listing content or the right to reuse protected material.

Select paid tools through the live product path
Review advertising, sponsorship, profile upgrade, and other available products separately. Current availability, amount, billing interval, renewal, placement, and cancellation terms must be presented by the live Rebuild Detroit product and Stripe-backed checkout. Static page text does not override the actual transaction record.
No product guarantees leads, listings, clients, ranking, territory, closings, or return on investment. Keep follow-up compliant with user requests, suppression records, and applicable communications rules.
