What is there now

Standing

We checked building permits, sales, listings and the city's blight and demolition files on October 25, 2026. Nothing new at this address in the last two years.

The story

The house at 1053 Iroquois St went up in 1901, in the years Detroit became the Motor City and built like it meant to stay on top.

It carries the name of James C. Buckley.

Rogers & MacFarlane designed it.

Today it sits inside Indian Village, one of the blocks Detroit has chosen to protect.

Most homes like it are lived in, so enjoy it from the sidewalk.
