The story

The house at 1725 Burns St went up in 1915, in the years Detroit became the Motor City and built like it meant to stay on top.

It carries the name of Orla B. Taylor.

The plans came from George D. Mason.

Today it sits inside Indian Village, one of the blocks Detroit has chosen to protect.

Most homes like it are lived in, so enjoy it from the sidewalk.
