Standing

The story
In 1925, as the auto boom spread out from Detroit and the suburbs began to fill in, the Hilzinger Block opened in Royal Oak.
It was built in the Commercial Brick style, and it still reads that way from the sidewalk.
It joined the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
Go see it at 106-110 S. Main St. Photos never get the scale right.
