In 1930, as the region worked through hard times and then boomed after the war, Jefferson Avenue, Huron River and Harbin Drive, Silver Creek Canal Bridges opened in Brownstown Charter Township.

Credit the design to Michigan State Highway Department.

The National Register of Historic Places listed it in 2000.

Go see it at Jefferson Ave. over Huron R.; Harbin Dr. over Silver Creek Canal. Photos never get the scale right.

The Jefferson Avenue, Huron River and Harbin Drive, Silver Creek Canal Bridges are two separate bridges, sharing a continuous railing, that were jointly listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 10, 2000.
