The story
The Riverfront Apartments opened in 1984, as Detroit rebuilt its riverfront and downtown in concrete, steel and glass.
Gruzen Partnership and Martin Co. drew the plans.
It is still open, and still part of daily life in the city.
Go see it at 300 Riverfront Park Drive. Photos never get the scale right.
