The story
In 1919, in the years Detroit became the Motor City and built like it meant to stay on top, St. Mary of Redford Parish School opened.
Credit the design to George W. Graves; Cram & Ferguson and McGrath, Dohmen & Page, in the French Romanesque style.
Its doors are closed for now, but the building still stands.
Go see it at 14750 St. Mary's St. Photos never get the scale right.
