The story

The house at 1401 Seminole St went up in 1907, during the boom years when the auto industry turned Detroit into one of the fastest growing cities in America.

It carries the name of Arthur D. Welton.

The plans came from Harry C. Stevens.

Today it sits inside Indian Village, one of the blocks Detroit has chosen to protect.

Most homes like it are lived in, so enjoy it from the sidewalk.
