The story
West Village Historic District is one of the places that gives West Village its character.
It was built in the Colonial Revival style, and it still reads that way from the sidewalk.
The National Register of Historic Places listed it in 1980.
Go see it at Roughly bounded by Jefferson, Kercheval, Parker and Seyburn Aves. Photos never get the scale right.
West Village is a neighborhood located in Detroit, Michigan, bounded by Jefferson, Kercheval, Parker, and Seyburn Avenues. Adjacent to the west is the Islandview neighborhood, and adjacent to the east is Indian Village. The district received its name in the mid-20th century because of its location just west of the more well-known Indian Village Historic District.
